Thessaly
Thessaly is a significant wine-producing region of central Greece, with vineyards extending from the plains of Larissa and Magnesia to the slopes of Mount Olympus and Mount Pelion. The climate is predominantly continental with hot summers and colder winters, while elevation and proximity to the Aegean create favorable conditions for quality viticulture. The region includes PDO Rapsani and PDO Messenicola, as well as broader indications such as PGI Thessaly, reflecting the diversity of its viticultural landscapes.
